I can finally say that I have seen the desert with my own eyes and driven through a small part of it. I’ve been waiting to see it and while for some it may not be very interesting or important, I have dreamed of seeing this landscape in person.
The little blue arrow was us. To the right…desert and to the left…desert.

As we were driving we saw a group of camels walking along. Y pulled up along side of them so that I could take some pictures. There were so many cute little babies.
Y also stopped and got us each a vanilla ice cream. It was so nice and we enjoyed it as we drove back towards Riyadh.
