بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
The other night I was sitting with Y. I mentioned to him that I was craving chocolate. He just kind of laughed and went back to watching TV. It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise to anyone that I have a bit of a sweet tooth. The best part was that about an hour later he looked at me and smiled.
“I didn’t want to say this, but I really want chocolate now,” he said.
حلويات سعد الدين – Saadeddin
We went to a place called Saadeddin Pastry حلويات سعد الدين
We ended up getting 1 “Raffaello” (made to look and taste like the little white chocolate Ferrero Rocher candies), 1 chocolate type (it was a soft chocolate with some biscuits and nuts mixed in), 2 berry cheesecakes, 2 chocolate pudding cakes (with crumbled flake on top), 2 “Marsy” (the ones that looks like logs. They had chocolate cake on the bottom, which some kind of mousse on top, covered in chocolate with candied almonds at one end) and the last piece was a surprise from the server who included 1 strawberry cheesecake.
We spent 52 SAR, which is about $13.86 (believe it or not).
We shared the strawberry cheesecake with some Arabic coffee.
A lot of the sweets have these little edible chocolate medallions with the bakery’s name in gold.
I’m drooling just remembering these tiny cakes.
This one is probably my favorite. I can’t even begin to describe how delicious it is. Just imagine a super light coconut cake, covered in coconut shavings, filled with more cake and light coconut cream.
So, so, so, so, so delicious and very reasonably priced. I hope that I didn’t make you too hungry.
