I don’t wear makeup every day, but there are a few things that I do like to use just to make myself look fresh and awake.
FACE
I actually don’t use a foundation, concealer, powder or anything like that on my face daily. Probably because I haven’t found a product that is light enough, yet still provides some coverage (as my skin tends to get reddish). When I wake up I just wash my face and use a little bit of lotion.
EYES
First I use the Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller. I usually have some puffiness under my eyes when I wake up. I really don’t know if it is the ingredients or the cool metal roller, but it works.
Then I use the elf Eyelid Primer. I have light skin and sometimes I feel like I need a little something to even out the color of my skin around my eyes. It is light and just makes me feel like I look more “awake”.
Lastly I use the Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Eyeliner Trio in “Nude”. The brown and beige colors are so natural and just help brighten the eye a bit. I use the brown on my upper waterline and the beige on my lower waterline. The black is nice for special occasions, as the pigment is quite strong.
EYEBROWS
First I just groom my eyebrows a bit with the Sonia Kushuk Spoolie brush.
Then I use my eyebrow kit from The Body Shop in #2 (brunette & brown). Although I think that if I purchase this in the future I will try the lighter shade #1 (blonde & auburn). A little bit goes a long way! (You can use the spoolie again after applying the powder to blend it a bit)
Last I use Maybelline Great Lash Clear Mascara. I don’t pluck my eyebrows, so they can get a little crazy and I feel that this helps keep them in order. It is probably my favorite beauty product. Not to mention that it also makes a really beautiful natural mascara (especially for those of us with lighter colored hair).
LIPS
For my lips I just like to use a lip balm. Maybelline Baby Lips in Peppermint is my go to choice. I’m really turned off by products that have strange aftertastes, but this one is light, with just a touch of mint and it lasts a long time! The best thing is that I don’t have to apply it over and over again.
